A day at the water park!

(There are I think 3 new posts...I finally got to downloading all the pictures!)

Last Friday, daddy had the day off, so we packed up and headed out to Grand Rios Indoor Water Park! We had a blast. There was this huge 1 ft. deep pool that took up the entire middle of the place in which there were 2 water slides just right for Maggie and some other smaller stuff for Maya to play in. Around the outside there was a tube ride (that Maggie LOVED even though it went really fast!) with a lazy river and a couple bigger slides for big kids and adults. The girls swam to their hearts delight and were thoroughly exhausted by the time we left. A VERY fun family day.

One sleepy monkey "catching flies".

Random ramblings

Some random pictures from the last week or so... Sorry I haven't been very good about posting lately. I'll try to be better. : )

Maya was using the little plastic bag from one of our games to be like mommy and "pick up poop". Lovely. Well, at least she knows I do it!!!! (Unlike her father...)

More poop to pick up!

Playing lincoln logs.

All packed and ready to go...only like 10 days early. Hmmm...I wonder what's in that suitcase??

Let's see...3 sundresses, one ballerina dress, 2 pairs of panties and 2 bathing suits. That should do it right???

Look mom...I can hop on one foot!!! Get it...one foot!!!

Uh oh...someone had an accident. : (

Mommy's birthday. Becky took pity on me and made me a cake. Thanks Becky!

A few of the neighbors came over for cake...and of course all the kids "helped" me blow out the candles!

Maya thought the cake was especially tasty.

New Post

Just an FYI...there is a new post under the Interview post. I started it last week and had trouble downloading the pictures so I gave up. Apparently you can't change the date and it posts in order of the dates in which you start it. Oh well. You can check it out.

Color books and Fruit Loop Rainbows

We had quite the crafty week (last week actually), making 2 projects. I saw this idea of doing rainbows using Fruit Loops instead of just coloring or something boring like that, so we just HAD to try it out! I got my box of Fruit Loops and we went to town. I cut rainbow shapes out of foam and let the kids go to town adding the colored rainbows.

Then of course we just decided to have a "breakfast" lunch, with none other than...Fruit Loops, english muffins and orange juice. Yummy!

And then, since they hadn't eaten enough sugary O's already, we finished off the box by making necklaces which they promptly polished off too. : )

I also found these really cute little chipboard books at Michaels for $1 each. They had all kinds of shapes. Maggie chose flowers, we got cars for Daniel and stars for Maya. They had 5 pages each and I thought they'd be perfect for the kids to make little books out of. So first I had them paint each page a different color.

Let the paint dry.

(No, that's not a bloody nose, its red paint!!!)
Then, after they dried, they glued strips of paper that said, Blue car, Yellow flower, Green star, etc. on the corresponding page.

Put all the pages together with a little ring and voila! Then when they were done, the kids each "read" their books.

Whoo Hoo!

Maggie has developed a strange habit. She is seeming to feel the need to "whoo hoo!" everywhere she goes. Sitting on the couch, "whoo hoo!" Brushing her teeth, "whoo hoo!" Riding her bike down the street, "whoo hoo!" Walking thru WalMart, "Whoo hoo!" It's a little strange and sorta embarrassing in public places. : ) But I guess if that's the worst of her bad habits, I can live with it.

Here are some pictures from the last week, just for fun.

The weather finally warmed up enough to make the snow, "snowman worthy". We made this tiny snowman one day, complete with rocks for eyes and buttons, a carrot nose, hat and scarf.

They were very proud. Someone said something about that "little" snowman in the front yard and Maggie responded with, "no, its a GIANT snowman". Maybe to Bella, but not really to anyone else.

Soon after Mr. Snowman was complete, the nose mysteriously disappeared from its face. Hmmm, wonder who the culprit could be.

Maggie likes to "do" my hair. It does look lovely don't you think? She's getting quite proficient with the clips.

One day (I can't remember which), the elementary school had a late start, so who did I end up with but Kyra and Raya (and Daniel, but he was supposed to be there). The came over for a couple of hours before the bus came and as you can see, we did a little arts and crafts. Kyra is a girl after my own heart and likes to be crafty. She knows right where I keep everything and helps herself. They had fun, and it kept them busy for at least an hour. Then we all bundled up and took an outing to the bus stop which Maggie and Maya thought was great fun. Maya loves to see the buses go by and Maggie just wants to go to school so she can ride the bus.

Maya loves to play with Maggie's things, so when Mags got the Tag Reader for Xmas, we all knew who would be playing with it...not Maggie.

Spring has sprung...well almost...but it did get warm enough to bust out the bikes! Even if we did still have to wear hats and mittens. Maya is now a big girl riding on her big girl bike with the training wheels. She's doing really well on it!

Yesterday night at dinner, we had steak, sweet potatos, vegies and rolls. Daddy thought it would be super funny to let a rather LARGE piece of roll hang out of his mouth and pretend like nothing was wrong. The girls thought this was really funny and were just pointing and pointing to his mouth, saying, "Daddy, look!" Finally he got the clue and discovered the disgusting nastiness hanging out of his mouth. : )

Tonight after dinner Maggie, as usual, requested a treat. They don't usually get anything, but tonight they got a little bit of ice cream. Yum, yum! Maggie insisted that we take a picture of this, so here it is!

Yoga

Becky (our neighbor) brought her girls, Megan and Lily over the other day to play for a while. Of course, within 5 minutes, everyone was outfitted in Kelly family leotards and the gymnastics and dance shows were in progress. Becky and I were sitting watching them when someone did some pose that resembled a yoga move. Becky caught it and right then and there started a yoga class with the 4 girls. As you can see, Downward Facing Dog was the first move taught.

Bottoms up!

Scales all around!!!

Megan and Lily peetered out and went to find dolls, but Mags and Maya were still rearin' to go!

Warrior 1 pose.

This was their favorite. Lily was a little behind (get it...behind!!) the times. : )
