Friday, Feb. 20

Today Maya woke up with a temperature of 103. I had to wake both the girls up at 9:00 which was amazing! Maya perked up after eating breakfast and we headed out to a cute little kids store nearby called The Red Giraffe, for "Fun Friday". The theme was frogs, and they heard a story and made a frog craft. A photographer for the Woodbury Bulletin was there too taking pictures, so maybe they'll end up in the paper. Too bad we don't get it. : ( I'll have to check online. Aaron is catching a flight tonight instead of tomorrow, so now we'll get a whole weekend with daddy. Yeah!

Welcome to the Kelly Clan blog!

Hello everyone. My friend Tamara said this was a cinch to do, so we're going to give it a try. Now you can check here for updates about mostly unimportant stuff, and pictures! : ) Should be fun!

Today, Maya had her 15 month check up. She weighed in (on the big girl scale by the way) at 21 lbs. 6 oz. (fully clothed w/ shoes), and 31 1/4 inches. So, basically tall and slender. She got 2 shots which she really hated, but got over pretty quickly. : ) The doctor said she's perfect in every way (except behavior in which she's a total menace...Maggie's entire collection of Polly Pockets is STILL all over the living room floor).

Maggie was officially accepted into the Ready, Set, Grow Preschool yesterday. She is super excited about going to school, but bummed that she won't get to ride the bus just yet. Our neighbor Daniel is going to be in the same class, so that will be fun too. I can't wait to ship her off, even if it's only Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. I wish she started next week, but we'll have to wait until the fall. Who knew you had to decided on a preschool 9 months in advance? We decided to do a "Word of the Week", and this week its the all important "the". She thinks she's hot stuff when she picks "the" out of her books. New word tomorrow. We'll keep you posted.

Aaron left late this afternoon for San Francisco until Saturday afternoon, so the girls and I are holding down the fort. Hopefully I won't lose my mind.
