Word of the week

We've started doing a "word of the week". This week the word is "at". So we did a little project with all the rhyming words for "at". Mags glued the orange first letters and the pictures of each of the words.

Maya boots/mittens

New boots...well one of them anyways...she walked around like this for at least a half an hour! Ummm...is it too cold inside?? She just had to wear her mittens.

Monkey jams

100% polyester pink monkey jams : )

Mags in the fort

Maggie posing in the elaborate fort we made in the living room!

Gopher girls

Daddy thought everyone in the family ought to have Gopher apparel, so he and the girls made a quick trip to WalMart and came home with these lovely jerseys.

March 4

We've had a busy couple of days. Yesterday, Maggie had swimming and wore the new shiny, pink suit I made for her. You can't miss her that's for sure. :) Then we took the car in for new headlights, and stopped at Toys R Us on the way home. Maya got some new rain boots (I'd never seen any before so small! Hooray...they fit!), and Maggie picked out matching nightgowns for her and Maya. I suggested the totally cute 3 piece cotton Carters jammies, but NOOOO, she had to have the ugly, 100% polyester pink monkey jams. Whatever. Then, the lights went out for a couple of hours, just as we were getting the girls to bed...of course. Maggie freaked out in the dark, so needless to say, we didn't get them the early bedtimes they needed that night. And now, Maggie's obsessed with flashlights and heart candles. Today we got our security system installed, so now we're safe as can be. Although, Mags thinks we need a flashlight everytime the door opens and it beeps!

Saturday, March 1

All of us are fighting the cold that is going around. Maya and I are both stuffed up in the head, and Mags is starting to get sniffly now. Aaron took the girls to the "coffee store" this morning for hot chocolate and blueberry muffins, then Mags and I went to the zoo with our neighbors to see the dolphin show. Bad news though...no dolphin shows today! Luckily we avoided any meltdowns by all parties 3 and under, so that was a major victory! : ) Then off to bible study tonight, which Maya joined us at since she only lasted 10 minutes in the nursery. I thought the seperation anxiety was coming to an end...but I guess not! She said "Elmo" the other day and "daddy", and she thought she was hot stuff, but it still doesn't make up for throwing food across the room. Gotta work on that one.
