Disney Days 3, 4 and 5

Day 3 - Animal Kingdom

We got to Animal Kingdom mid-morning and went straight to get in line for the Lion King show! We were just a little bit early, so we found Thumper and Mrs. Bunny, and Minnie Mouse to get pictures with first!

The Lion Kings show is AWESOME by the way. Maya loved it...especially the "monkeys" who were male gymnasts doing trampoline, high bar and the trapeze. : )

After the show we went straight to the dinosaur ride. I believe we those were triceratops that they were riding in.

This gigantic brontosaurus towered above the dinosaur section of the park.

Grammy had ice cream with the girls while Poppy, Daddy and I went on the Expedition Everest ride. So fun!

That day we decided to rent a stroller. We forgot ours at home (like in Minnesota home), and the girls had done really well for 2 days without one, so we thought we'd give them a break. They decided to bring their Disney figurines I got them as a gift. They were a life saver, especially for Maya who often had to wait in the stroller while everyone else did big kid stuff.

Ooooh...a fan favorite...the Nemo ride. We went for a ride in these clamshells and watched Nemo story as we went by. This was Maya's favorite.

After the Nemo ride ends, you end up in a huge aquarium. This shark of course was not real, but it was fun to take a picture in its mouth!
Day 4 - Epcot
Epcot is probably the lease kid friendly of the 4 Disney parks, but we did manage to find Jasmine and Aladdin and get a picture with them!

I think this is on the ride in the Norway country section of the parade of nations. She did not like the dark rides.

This giant troll was waiting for us when we got off the ride. The hats were too cute!
Day 5 - Hollywood Studios
This was a fun day. First you walk in and see Mickey's giant sorcerers hat from Fantasia! It's really cool looking at night too when it's all lit up.
We got this same picture 2 years ago with the girls. They both loved the Ariel show.

After the show we caught several characters taking pictures real close together...so we got in line! Hi Donald Duck!

Tigger and Eyore.

And of course Minnie!

One of the shows we waited for all day was Beauty and the Beast. It's like an awesome Broadway production. Maya couldn't wait!

Walking through Hollywood Studios with Gram and Pops!

If I remember correctly these giant popcicles were called Whatsitkadoodles. Yup, I'm pretty sure that was it. : )

Heading to another line with a tired little monkey.

Sully and Mike from Monsters Inc. Maya did not want to get to close to Mike and his huge eyeball.

Hollywood Studios was all decorated for Christmas by the time we got there. Aaron wanted to take a picture under the Xmas tree...

Disney Day 2-Magic Kingdom

Today was our most exciting day...it was time for lunch with the princesses at Cinderella's Castle!!!! But before it was time for lunch, we just had to catch the show in front of the castle with Mickey, Donald, Goofy and all the gang.

Even the princesses, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella came out to dance with their princes!

Finally it was time for lunch! We got to the castle along with a LOT of other parents and kids wanting to eat and see the princesses too. First we got to take pictures with Cinderella. We even got a couple of keepsake pictures, one with just the girls, and one with all of us Kelly's.

Then it was time to enter the Royal Ballroom where lunch was to be served.

The girls colored while they waited for their Royal meal of chicken nuggets. : )

While we ate, several of the princesses came around to all the tables, chatted with the kids and took pictures. Snow White was first!

Then Princess Aurora.

Next up was Jasmine!

Here is Belle having all the kids hold their wands high and make a wish!

Here is Belle.

After lunch came dessert. Maggie had an ice cream sundae complete with a chocolate crown on top. It was yummy!

After lunch we hit the park again and did some more rides. Maya loved the carousel!

There's Poppy flying high in Aladdin's magic carpet ride!

Maya and Poppy on the Jungle Cruise.

Bear Country Jamboree.

A day a Magic Kingdom would not be complete without a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar! So good!

Mommy and girls going for a spin in the teacups. Mommy tried to spin as little as humanly possible.

So cute! Walking hand in hand down the street in Frontier Land.

Ahhh sisters!

A Maya sandwich on the Future Land people mover. I don't know what that thing (monorail, whatever) was really called..we called it the people mover. : )

Maya and Poppy getting ready for fireworks. Maya wasn't thrilled with them...too loud for her.

But they were so pretty with the castle all lit up and changing colors. I loved the blue.

Disney Day 1: Magic Kingdom

Ok, here they come. I have a bazillion pictures from our trip to DisneyWorld that I want to share so here we go!

We arrived at Disney on Halloween afternoon. We stayed at the All Star Movies resort this time. We were put in the Fantasia section of the hotel so our room was right behind a giant wooden toy soldier. The pool had Mickey directing shooting fountains of water into the pool just like he did in the movie. We had connecting rooms with Grammy and Poppy so the kids had fun running back and forth!

All Star is spelled out in these giant letters in front of the hotel and the girls just HAD to sit in the letters.

We arrived at Magic Kingdom the next day and it was all decked out for Halloween. It was really pretty with all the pumpkins and orange decorations all around.

Right away the girls and Poppy found this statue of Goofy and had to get their picture taken with it.

And then, there was Pinocchio!!!

Having fun and the day's just begun!

First sight of Cinderella's castle! Maya is holding up 3 fingers saying she's gonna be 3!

These little statues were all over the park, each having a Halloween theme to them. They were really cute.

First up...It's A Small World!

The carousel was also a favorite.

In Future Land we rode these race cars around a track. Maya had a blast when Grammy let her steer the car!

Poppy and Maggie. The first time we did this, Maggie "drove". After that she didn't want to drive because she said she was a crazy driver. : )

In Toon Town we toured Minnie's house. Here are the girls having tea at Minnie's table.

Also in Toon Town, there was an area where you could meet the princesses. The line for this is usually 45 minutes to an hour long, but we hit it just right and only waited 5 or 10 minutes. This was great because they got to see Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Belle one after another. The went into a quiet room with a couple other people and the princesses really took their time talking with the girls and taking pictures. No one was rushing us through or telling us to hurry up. I think Belle talked with them for 3 or 4 minutes. They were thrilled!

I don't know why this picture got turned...it is actually one of my favorites. The girls were sitting watching one of the parades go by. Maya was so cute, waving at everything that went by. She did catch the eye of several of the characters and princesses and even got a kiss blown at her by Cinderella at one point! Maggie was much more reserved and wanted to stay out of the spotlight. : )

There goes Mickey Mouse!

Belle and Beast.

Next we were off to Frontier Land and Pirates of the Carribean (sp). As you can see, Maya wasn't exactly thrilled with the ride and held onto Daddy for dear life.

At the end of the day, they got the balloons they'd been talking about since we came to Disney 2 years ago. Boy do they gouge you for balloons there. I think these 2 came to $14. Luckily I am resourceful and figured out if I use a straw, I can deflate them and pack them home. The party store will blow them back for like a dollar! Now that's a bargain!
Lots more to come....
