We had a wonderful Christmas this year, celebrating with Grammy and Poppy who flew out Christmas Eve! This was the second year in a row they flew out for Christmas, and it makes the day much more festive with them around. The presents were more than overwhelming for the girls and they are loving all the new stuff they receive - mostly from you all who sent gifts and money for me to buy them gifts! We had to move a fairly large bookcase downstairs to house all the new toys. : )
Somehow all these pictures loaded backwards of how I thought they were going to, oh well...you get the idea.
Here's Poppy putting together the Barbie "house". They love it! They also got new Barbies and Barbie clothes to accessorize with!
Ooooh. One of the favorites this year. A new digital kids camera! A post coming soon showing off the girls' "amazing" photography skills. : )
In the background is Maggie's new styling head, and she's opening a little clutch purse/wallet from Auntie Sidney.
It was a big year for Princess and the Frog. We went to see the movie the weekend after Christmas. It was Maya's first movie in the theater.
Grammy also got them new Princess and the Frog coloring books and brand new crayons. A dream come true!
The girls are crazy about their new little nephew, Jacob. We got a Xmas card from Callie and Devin with a picture of Jakey sitting with Santa. The girls loved it and just layed around on the floor looking at it for a while. : )
Right before Christmas we were busy painting lots of little wooden Chrismas ornaments we got for super cheap at JoAnns. Maya is working on a snowflake, and Maggie's doing a snowman that she gave to Grammy for Christmas.
Daddy had a business trip to Orlando a couple weeks before Christmas and brought the girls each back one of these giant Christmas pencils. Don't ask me how we're going to sharpen them.
Maggie had a little Christmas program the week before Christmas in which she and all her classmates did a really great job in. The theme was Christmas Around the World, as they are learning about different countries this year in school. They sang a bunch of songs that all had something to with several different countries around the world. They walked in as a live nativity scene. Mags was a shepherd...the only female shepherd - at her request. All my pictures of the group were fuzzy, but you can see a little bit in the video.
So that's it for 2009. It went out with a bang. Hopefully 2010 will be just as great!

Dude, I'm impressed with the craft/paint projects. I try to avoid those as much as possible. Isn't that what pre-school is for?? ;)
